Payment & Invoice Disclosure
Last updated: July 16, 2026
This disclosure explains the role of Nyxzie Pay in transactions completed through Nyxzie-powered checkout pages, invoice links, and payment links. It is intended to help customers understand who is processing the payment, who is responsible for the order, and where to seek support.
1. Roles of the Parties
For transactions documented through Nyxzie Pay, the roles should generally be understood as follows:
- Merchant: The merchant identified on the checkout page, payment link, or invoice is the seller of the relevant goods or services and the primary commercial party responsible to the customer.
- Third-Party Payment Gateway: The payment gateway selected by the merchant is the party that processes the payment transaction and handles authorization and settlement within its own banking and payment-network relationships.
- Nyxzie Pay: Nyxzie Pay is the software and infrastructure layer used to power hosted payment pages, invoice pages, payment links, and gateway integrations on behalf of the merchant.
2. Purpose of This Disclosure
When you pay through a Nyxzie Pay checkout page or receive a Nyxzie Pay invoice, Nyxzie Pay may appear as part of the payment experience, invoice presentation, or payment record delivery.
Nyxzie Pay provides the software, hosted interfaces, and payment-routing infrastructure used by the merchant. This disclosure clarifies that role.
3. Role of Nyxzie Pay
Nyxzie Pay is a software technology provider. Nyxzie Pay:
- provides hosted checkout pages, invoice pages, payment links, and payment APIs;
- helps merchants connect their business to supported third-party payment gateways;
- records transaction status updates, webhook events, and invoice references for operational and reporting purposes.
Nyxzie Pay does not:
- act as a bank, financial institution, or money transmitter;
- hold customer funds;
- settle funds to the merchant;
- become the seller, supplier, or merchant of record for the goods or services being purchased.
4. Role of the Merchant
The merchant identified on the checkout page, payment link, or invoice is solely responsible for:
- the goods or services being offered;
- pricing, taxes, delivery, and fulfillment;
- refunds, returns, cancellations, and chargeback-related communication;
- customer support, billing questions, complaints, and dispute resolution;
- compliance with applicable consumer, tax, and commercial laws.
5. Role of the Third-Party Payment Gateway
Actual payment processing is handled by the third-party payment gateway selected by the merchant, such as supported global or regional payment gateways.
That gateway is responsible for:
- authorizing and processing the payment transaction;
- handling fund settlement;
- applying its own compliance, fraud, and operational controls;
- maintaining its own terms, policies, and payment-network relationships.
Depending on the gateway and payment method used, the gateway's own terms, privacy policy, and dispute procedures may also apply to your transaction.
6. What an Invoice or Payment Record Means
An invoice, receipt, or payment record generated through Nyxzie Pay is a transaction record issued on behalf of the merchant. It is intended to document that a payment attempt or payment event was recorded in connection with the merchant's business.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise by the merchant:
- the invoice or receipt does not mean Nyxzie Pay sold the product or service to you;
- the invoice or receipt does not mean Nyxzie Pay received or held the funds;
- the invoice or receipt does not transfer responsibility for fulfillment, refunds, or customer support away from the merchant.
7. Refunds, Cancellations, and Disputes
Refunds, cancellations, and disputes are governed primarily by:
- the merchant's own policies and commitments;
- the rules and procedures of the third-party payment gateway;
- the rules of the underlying payment method or card network, where applicable.
Nyxzie Pay may provide the technical tools used by the merchant to log or submit refund actions, but Nyxzie Pay is not the decision-maker for whether a refund is granted unless Nyxzie explicitly states otherwise in writing for a specific service.
8. Customer Support and Contact Responsibility
For help with any of the following, please contact the merchant directly:
Nyxzie Pay may assist merchants with platform or technical issues, but customer-facing commercial support remains the merchant's responsibility.
9. Data and Privacy
Nyxzie Pay may store limited transaction-related information needed to operate the service, such as:
- transaction reference numbers;
- customer identifiers supplied by the merchant or customer, such as name, email, or phone number;
- amounts, currencies, timestamps, and transaction statuses;
- invoice references and operational logs.
Nyxzie Pay does not intend to store full payment card numbers, CVV codes, or similar sensitive card data as part of normal checkout operations. Sensitive payment details are expected to be handled directly by the configured third-party payment gateway.
Customers may also be subject to the merchant's privacy policy, the third-party payment gateway's privacy policy, and any applicable payment-method provider policies.
10. Relationship to Other Terms
This disclosure is a customer-facing explanatory notice. It supplements, but does not replace:
- the merchant's own terms and policies;
- the main Nyxzie Platform Terms and Conditions;
- the Nyxzie Pay Terms and Conditions Addendum;
- the Nyxzie Pay Privacy Policy Addendum.
If there is a conflict between this disclosure and a legally binding agreement governing a specific transaction, the binding agreement or applicable law will control to the extent required.
11. Updates
Nyxzie may update this disclosure from time to time to reflect operational, legal, product, or gateway changes. The latest version will always be made available through the relevant Nyxzie-hosted page or documentation location.
